At Project Independence Veterans (PIV), our mission has always been simple: to support those who need it most, with a particular focus on veterans who have served our country.

For some time, PIV operated from a lockup facility in Standish. While the location provided a base for our activities, it became increasingly clear that the environment was not suitable for the equipment and resources we rely upon. The building was particularly cold during the winter months, which not only created uncomfortable working conditions but also affected the lifespan and performance of battery-powered equipment essential to our work.

As a result, PIV has temporarily relocated to an alternative nearby location. This move allows us to continue delivering services while we actively search for a more suitable, long-term home that can support both our volunteers and the people we serve.

Although veterans remain at the heart of everything we do, our support is available to anyone who may benefit from our services. We firmly believe in giving back to those who have given so much for us, while also extending a helping hand to members of the wider community when needed.

We are currently seeking a permanent base that will allow us to expand our services, safeguard our equipment, and create a welcoming environment for veterans and community members alike. If you know of a suitable premises or would like to support our search, we would love to hear from you.
